24-Hour economic initiative: Call

Government has taken a bold initiative to transform Ghana's economy through a 24-hour economy and Accelerated Export Development Programme.

This policy aims to boost economic growth, create jobs and increase competitiveness.

A 24-hour economy can bring numerous benefits, including increased productivity, job creation and enhanced competitiveness.

By embracing a 24-hour economy, Ghana can increase its economic activity and GDP growth rate, create new job opportunities and attract foreign investment.

The Accelerated Export Development Programme aims to diversify exports, increase export earnings, and create opportunities for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

Countries such as South Korea, Singapore, and China have implemented similar policies, achieving significant economic growth and development. Economic data shows that countries with 24-hour economies tend to have higher GDP growth rates and increased competitiveness.

Given the potential benefits, it is essential that Ghanaian school-going citizens are educated on these initiatives from an early age.

Transforming the 24-hour economy initiative into a textbook and infusing it into our curricula can promote economic literacy, inspire entrepreneurship, prepare students for the future and foster a culture of innovation.

The government's proposal has the potential to transform Ghana's economy and drive economic growth and development.

By educating students about the 24-hour economy and export development, we can unlock Ghana's economic potential and take its rightful place as a major player in the global economy.

It's time for Ghana to move beyond being a mere raw material producer and become a thriving economy driven by innovation and entrepreneurship.
