PTA supports Mawuli School with furniture, water reservoirs
The Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) of the Mawuli School, Ho, has procured 300 mono-desks at a cost of GH¢126, 000 for the school.
In addition, the PTA has installed two water reservoirs, each with a capacity of 10,000 litres, on the school compound at a total cost of GH¢23,289.
“This is our response to a recent appeal by the school for more furniture and water for students,” said the PTA Chairman, Nufialaga Mawufemor Korbla Nornyibey, at the handing over ceremony at the school last Monday.
He said the PTA was committed to enhancing students' comfort and facilitating smooth learning.
Needs
“So, we will continue to identify the priority needs of the school and respond accordingly,” the PTA chairman added.
He announced the PTA's plan to donate a 33-seater bus to the school before the end of this year.
For her part, an Assistant Headmistress of the school, Patricia Awo Kodjo, thanked the PTA for the gesture, which she described as a huge relief to the school.
“This will promote uninterrupted teaching and learning at the school,” she said.
The assistant headmistress said Mawuli School now had an enrolment of 4,825, and with that size, its basic needs were many.
Miss Kodjo, therefore, appealed to other groups and public-spirited individuals to support the school in various ways to maintain its sterling image.
