As a regular traveller on the Tema-Sogakofe highway, I have noticed the giant signpost indicating the existence of a city by the name Saglemi located just before Tsopoli.
I have tried to see signs of human existence in the city to no avail.
The Saglemi housing project was started by the first Mahama administration some years ago. Unfortunately, the project was halted with a change of government.
What we heard at the time was an ongoing court case over the project.
After the eight years of the former government, we have not heard about the court case. Now the government, which started the project, is back in the administration of the country. My immediate thought was that the project would be completed.
Unfortunately, two years on, the only development on that project is the erection of a giant signpost directing to a city with no human habitation.
Whoever thought of putting that sign must check the meaning of the word city; otherwise, that misleading signpost should be removed and brought back after the place qualifies to be called a city.
