Recreational parks should be increased

I always get excited when I watch foreign movies and see that some of the foreign countries have a lot of parks where people can go to relax and even to study in groups.

However, I have observed that in Ghana,our parks are few, and these few are not even properly maintained. A typical example is the Efua Sutherland Children’s Park located in the heart of capital.

Some parents get worried when their children have to go to other houses to study.

I am convinced that if we develop more parks in our country, there would be a lot of places for all of us to go to without any congestion or discomfort.

That way, students, especially will have a lot of options available to them when they have to meet in groups to study and parents would no longer worry because they know their children are studying at secure places and not in anybody’s house.

I am, therefore, appealing to the government to consider this area of need and provide more recreational parks to help minimise the burden on students when they need to study outdoors.
