The event was held at the Church of Pentecost at Burma Camp in Accra, with the winner amassing 258 points as against 238 by the dance groups of the Ebenezer Methodist Church, Madina, and the Ghana Police Church, Accra, which had 236 points.

For their prize, the Action Chapel dance group took home customised shirts, books and four boxes of Indomie.

The dance groups of the Ebenezer Methodist Church and the Ghana Police Church also had customised shirts, books and four boxes of Indomie as their prizes.

The dance competition provided an opportunity for Sunday Schoolchildren aged 12 years and above to showcase their God-given talents in creative dancing and to raise funds for vulnerable children at the Children’s Ward of the Ledzokuku Krowor Municipal Assembly Hospital.

The event brought together children from eight different denominations as part of the 10 years anniversary of Youth Link, Ghana on the theme: “You would be judged the same way you judge others.”

Technique, team work, content and showmanship were the main factors the judges looked out for while the children performed.

The Co-ordinator for the Action Chapel dance group, Miss Priscilla Koomson, advised all children to get involved in activities in their respective churches.

She said it was good for children to realise their talents and build on them.
