Dear Editor, I am worried about how some drivers turn on the music so loud in public transport such that it irritates passengers.
Other private car owners also turn on loud music which makes it impossible for them to concentrate on driving.
This behaviour by both private and commercial drivers is worrying because it can contribute to the increasing number of road accidents on our highways. This practice contributes to noise pollution as well.
I suggest that the authorities especially, the Ghana Police Service takes steps to ensure that drivers control the level of noise from their car stereo systems particularly when they are on the road.
Gideon Appiah,
Accra.
