The event, a crucial academic milestone for the HND students, carried the theme "Think Global, Wear Local: Propelling Creativity and Sustainability through Fashion."

This annual fashion show and exhibition not only fulfills academic requirements but also serves as a platform to ignite creativity and innovation among students. With a focus on encouraging budding designers to carve a niche for themselves, the event resonated with the spirit of originality.

A total of 364 students specialising in fashion design and textiles participated in the fashion show, revealing a remarkable flair for sustainability. In a move that left an indelible mark, students ingeniously incorporated recycled materials like sacks and cement papers into their designs, delivering a resounding message about the significance of eco-conscious fashion.

The acting Vice-Chancellor of Accra Technical University, Prof. Amevi Acakpovi, inaugurated the event and underscored that the fashion show vividly demonstrated the students' mastery of competency-based training.
