Mr Merror brings own feel to ‘Rabbi’
In exploring what brings him peace of mind and self-assurance, singer Louis Francis Kwei Ga-va, widely known as Mr Merror, puts his finger on faith as a supreme being and a great source of comfort and that’s why he has just brought out a remix of Adane Best’s ‘Rabbi’ song.
The track talks about contentment through association with a higher order and the need to stay closely connected to that force for one’s well-being. According to Mr Merror, he likes the theme of the song for the assurances it gives to the believer.

“The lyrics touch my heart a lot. Things can be tough in this life but in every situation, if you call on your God, you will receive appropriate direction and knowledge,” Mr Merror says.
The song features Adane Best and Danish saxophonist, Katrine Suwalski who has worked with other Ghanaian artists such as Dela Botri, Ayi Solomon, Okyerema Kwamena Pra and Epixode.
The inclusion of Adane Best on this remix makes it the second time Mr Merror and the well-known singer have worked together. They recorded a track called ‘Nyanyo’ which came out in early 2023.
Mr Merror sees Adane Best as a senior colleague and role model he has always admired. He deems it an honour to work with him again on ‘Rabbi’ as he strives to attain and even transcend the status Adane Best has acquired in the music business.
The original ‘Rabbi’ has a direct reggae feel. Though the reggae element is still present in Mr Merror’s version, there’s also a vibrant contemporary funk tone that holds down the track. Katrine Suwalski’s tenor saxophone lurks in the background all the while before she whips up a pleasant short solo near the end of the song.
Mr Merror stays largely with the lyrics in the original track but he takes the liberty to add some lines that reflect his thinking on Ghanaian society. He also gives a shout-out to Nii Ayi Armah Okropong I, Ga Joma Mantse for supporting his career.

With previous song releases such as ‘Abusua’ featuring King Palma, ‘Yeebre’ featuring Asanqoma and ‘Me Nua’ featuring Hans Becks, Mr Merror is gradually making useful progress on the music scene. He hopes to quicken his forward movement with more material that appeals positively to his fans and other music lovers.
His ‘Rabbi’ track is due for general release on October 26, 2024, and will be available on all major digital music distribution outlets.
