NIB supports Mawuli School
The National Investment Bank (NIB) has donated 188 desks at a cost of GH¢16,000 to the Mawuli School in the Volta Region as part of its corporate social responsibility.
The donation, made under the bank’s “Save- a- School” Project (SAS), is to augment the acute furniture problems of the school and to boost academic work.
The Save-a-School Project, which involves renovating and refurbishing dilapidated infrastructure in schools, is aimed at providing quality infrastructure and other amenities that enhance teaching and learning in schools in communities in which the bank operates.
Mr John Osei-Nyansah, the headmaster, received the donation on behalf of the school from Mr Charles Wordey, Head of Corporate Affairs of NIB.
He thanked the bank for the generous support and promised that the desks would be put to good use. He also urged other institutions to emulate the gesture of NIB.
