He praised WAEC staff for their commitment, noting that they are working through the holiday season to meet the deadline.
The minister highlighted the government’s support in alleviating some of WAEC’s financial challenges, enabling the council to focus on accurate marking and timely releases.
"The government recently provided an additional GH₵25 million to WAEC to boost its operational efficiency and ensure the smooth running of the process," Dr. Adutwum stated.
He added that about 50% of the objective marking had been completed, assuring the public that the council is on track to meet its targets. A provisional release of the results is scheduled for December 28 or 29, ahead of the final publication in January 2024.
Dr. Adutwum reaffirmed the government’s commitment to maintaining the credibility of the examination system, describing the 2024 process as robust and transparent.
