Zoomlion receives special KNUST research excellence award

The Zoomlion Ghana Limited has received a special award from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) for its special contribution to graduate research in the university.

Dubbed, "KNUST research excellence award", the university sought to recognise the contributions to it's research efforts by Zoomlion over the years.

Last year, Africa's waste management expert, Zoomlion launched a GH¢5 million grant for public universities for research purposes.

Apart from that, the executive chairman of the company handed over a graduate block to the KNUST for graduate education in Kumasi a couple of years back.

It is, therefore, not surprising the university recognises the goodwill gestures of the company.

Zoomlion has, apart from the above, been collaborating with almost all public and private academic institutions in the country and abroad for research and academic reasons over the years.

Receiving the award, the Director of Communications and Corporate Affairs of Zoomlion, Emma Adwoa Appiaa Osei-Duah, commended the KNUST for the recognition.

She promised the continuation of more collaboration for research and other purposes for the good of the country.

Ms Osei-Duah urged private corporate institutions to support universities to be able to fashion out solutions through research to problems in the country.
