10 GCB customers win sponsorship to Brazil

The first draw of the “30 to Brazil” promotion, an initiative of the Ghana Commercial Bank (GCB) has seen the selection of 10 customers to join the World Cup celebrations in Brazil this year.

Last month, the GCB launched a promotion to sponsor 30 of its customers to participate in this year’s World Cup in Brazil.

An Information and Communication Technology (ICT) application system, operated by the National Lotteries Authority was used to generate and identify the winners. 

Dubbed “the GCB 30 promo to Brazil”, the promotion, which began on March 12 and will end on May 31, 2014, would see customers of the bank receiving other prizes such as replica jerseys, footballs and television sets.

Speaking at the launch, the Chief Operating Officer of the GCB, Mr Kojo Addae Mensah,  said the purpose of the promotion was to reward their loyal customers, and expressed confidence that the bank would remain as a strong brand in Ghana. 

According to Mr Mensah, there were other prizes to be won such as television sets, footballs and jerseys.

The winners of the first draw who would fly to Brazil include  Michael Opoku Afriyie of the Dormaa Ahenkro branch, Paa Owusu Afryie Bawua of the Mim branch, Stephen Baffoe of the Jasikan branch, Kofi Osei Afoakwa of the Tarkwa branch and Ben Anaba Moscoh of the Nsawam branch.

Others are Samuel Kabutey Lawerh of the Tema branch, Robert Amponsah of the Winneba branch, George Danso and Robert Tetteh Odjidja of the Trade Fair branch, Kwame Agyei of the Nkawie branch and Zoogah Yin-Anaab Muk of the Bolgatanga branch.

The promotion

Both existing and new customers of the bank can subscribe to the promotion by topping up their current accounts with GH¢1,000 or its multiples, and maintain the new balance till the end of the draw.

There shall be monthly draws within the three months of the promotion to select winners of the competition and more multiples of GH¢1,000 increase the chances of subscribers to win prizes.
