The items included children’s clothes, books, toys, learning aids and sweets.

The children, Ria Brown- Aryee, nine years, Alexandra Tay, nine years and Sebestian Tay, five years made the presentation in commemoration of the 80th birthday of their grandmother, Mrs Evelyn Tay.

Mrs Tay, a Scottish from Edinburgh who played a key role in mobilising resources to set up the unit continues to support the centre in various ways.

The children said they were inspired by their grandmother’s immense contribution to quality healthcare in Ghana.

They expressed the hope that their gifts would bring some joy into the lives of the children while they undergo treatment.

Mrs Tay said she was excited that her granchildren have been inspired by her work to mobilise resources to buy the items for the children on admission.

She said  she would be happy if her family continued with her work of resource mobilisation to improve healthcare, as she reitres from active service.

Mrs Tay commended her grandchildren for the donation and urged them to be always committed in support for better healthcare services.
