Accra Aca ‘79’ year group constructs water fountain for school
The 1979 Year Group of Accra Academy has constructed a water fountain at the school, as part of its contribution to beautifying the campus.
The group has since hand-over to the school authorities.
At a brief handing over ceremony in Accra last Wednesday, the president of the year group, Mr George Arcton-Tettey, said it was part of their effort to create a conducive environment for the students.
Later in a chat with the Daily Graphic, Mr Arcton-Tetteh said the 1979 year group had also in the past renovated the old boys secretariat at the school.
He urged the current students to study hard, so as to become responsible citizens, stressing, “Accra Academy has groomed some of us and today we are responsible citizens.’’
Mr Arcton-Tetteh said the year group would continue to undertake projects at the school to make sure it continued to excel academically, and appealed to other year groups to also support the school.
