Reverend Father Joseph Mensah, a parish priest, who made the call, said the bank was not the property of an individual but rather belonged to Ghanaians.

Therefore, he said, there was the need for the workers to play their roles satisfactorily to achieve the vision and mission of the bank.

Reverend Mensah also urged them to change their attitude towards work in order to ensure the progress of the bank.

Thanksgiving service

This year’s thanksgiving service was held on the theme: “God’s Faithfulness.”

Workers of the bank, dressed in all-white attire, sang praises and worship songs to thank God for the past year and seek his continuous guidance and protection for the year 2016.

The Head of Operations at ADB, Reverend Emmanuel Markwei, also led the team to ask for long life, prosperity, peace, happiness and growth in the businesses of the bank.

They also prayed for the media, the upcoming 2016 general election, peace and God’s blessings, guidance and protection of the management, staff and the nation.

Ms Bridget Nuotuo Kaminta and Ms Rukayatu Agbo read some Bible scriptures from Exodus 6:6-8 and Philippians 4:6-13 respectively, to thank God for his mercies.

Commitment laudable

In his address, the acting Managing Director of ADB, Mr James Agbedor, thanked the staff for their continued support towards the development of the bank and urged them to continue to pray and seek God’s protection at all times in all their endeavours.
