AMA names 14 safe havens in flood-prone areas

The Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA) has named fourteen safe havens in Accra where residents can seek shelter in the event of flooding.
The Assembly has also matched those safe havens to flood-prone areas within the Assembly.
The Ghana Meteorological Agency has predicted heavy downpours with lightning flashes as part of the upcoming long raining season.
Below is a list of flood prone areas and safe havens where the public in the identified communities are expected to seek shelter in the event of flooding.
