AMEN Foundation shares Mothers’ Day with single teenage mothers
The Agnes Mamley Educational and Nurturing (AMEN) charity foundation celebrated international Mothers’ Day with 30 teenage mothers in Yilo Krobo, a district in the Eastern Region of Ghana.
For these mothers, the day has always been a normal day until AMEN foundation, the non-profit tax-exempt organisation that raises funds to sponsor single teenage mothers and their children in Ghana made it special.
The foundation which aims at supporting programmes promoting the education of these mothers gave each of the 30 mothers, clothes and assorted drinks as Mothers’ Day package from the founder, Mrs. Justina Korkor Ahima.
Miss Dede Foni, presenting the items on behalf of the founder, assured all the Women that the foundation would revisit in a short while to enroll them in vocational training programmes of their choice since that is what the Foundation stands for.
The mothers, with joyful expressions on their faces, thanked the foundation and its founder profoundly for making them part of the international celebration.
