Bishop Charles C. Hackman honoured at leadership awards
The leader of Fire City Chapel, Bishop Charles C. Hackman has been honoured with a humanitarian award for his disability advocacy in Ghana.
He was given the award at the 2020 Ghana Leadership Awards organised in Accra on Saturday, October 17, 2020.
This was after over 10 years of his dedication to promoting the well-being of persons with disability in Ghana.
The award organisers said Bishop Hackman's works have proven him worthy to receive a Humanitarian Award.
The Ghana Leadership Awards is an event which seeks to honour leaders for their exemplary contributions towards Ghana and Africa's growth in economic, social, political and leadership development over the years.
The award recognises the leadership impact of individuals and organisations that have made outstanding difference to the social, business or educational landscapes, employment, innovation, poverty eradication, philanthropic work, nation building and promoting peace.

Bishop Hackman over the years has lent a helping hand not only to the disability community, but also to the abled community while contributing to national development.
He has a television show in Ghana - The Helping Hand TV Show - exclusively dedicated to disability issues.
This television show has for the past eight years educated the public about disability related issues, hence helping to demystify the myths surrounding disability.
