The organisations also presented a closed-circuit television (CCTV) camera to help beef up security for the inmates of the home.

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the two organisations, Dr (Mrs) Beatrice Wiafe Addai, said the beds and the CCTV camera were worth GH¢2,000.00.

At a presentation ceremony at Kwamo in the Ejisu-Juaben Municipality, she said upon series of visitations to the foundation, the company realised the plight of the inmates, most of whom had no beds to sleep on.

She said the inmates were mostly people who had become victims of drug addiction and mental challenges because of family issues or psychological problems, and noted that if proper care was not taken during their rehabilitation, especially through adequate rest by sleeping on comfortable beds, their situations could get worse.

She, however, applauded the authorities of the foundation for the maintenance of the facility so far and their continuous care for such a class of people.

She pledged the continuous support of her company  for the foundation and asked that the authorities make good use of the items presented.

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Willingway Foundation Ghana, Mrs Lydia Abena Manu, who received the items, expressed gratitude to the twin company for their support.

She, however, appealed to government  to intervene in a situation where drugs to support drug addicts and mentally challenged persons were locked up at the Tema and Takoradi harbours.
