It also presented  GH¢2,000 cash  to the village .

The items include seven bags of rice, detergents, two gallons of cooking oil, cartons of milo and milk and 20 boxes of Indomie.

The rest were 20 plastic chairs, five cartons of fruits, several bags of sachet water, used clothings, beverages and a polytank.

The donation, forms part of CAL Bank’s annual time with the orphanage which enables staff of the bank to interact, share and care for inmates of the facility.

Mr Samuel Kwame Boafo, the Head of Human Resource at the bank, said the donation formed part of the corporate social responsibility of the bank to the less endowed in society which they had done for the past years.

Mr Boafo was hopeful that although these items might not solve the problems of the village, it would go a long way to support them to meet the increasing demand of the inmates and encourage others to support them.

He urged the government to take a look at the water situation in the area, noting that "water is life and must be available to all irrespective of their race, culture, colour or level of education”.

Mr Philip Darko, a Social Worker and Project Officer of Echoing Hills Village, expressed his appreciation to CAL Bank for its support for the village and gave the assurance that the items would be used for the intended purpose.

He further said that although inmates enjoyed the National Health Insurance Scheme, they were mostly faced with the challenge of purchasing their own drugs despite their predicament and lack of funds.
