Chief of Staff directs AG to investigate MMT bus rebranding saga

The Chief of Staff, Mr Julius Debrah, has directed the Attorney-General and Minister of Justice to review the contract and related payments on the spraying and rebranding of the 116 new intra-city buses.

The directive was contained in a letter from the Chief Of Staff to the Attorney-General.

Controversy is raging over the spending of about GHC 3,649,044 on the rebranding of 116 buses the government imported to improve the transport system in the country.

The Minority Leader in Parliament, Mr Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu who revealed the payment during the final debate to approve the 2016 Budget desbcribed the cost as outrageous

The minority had vowed to get Parliament to review the contract.
