The health institutions are the Princess Marie Louis Hospital in Accra and the Keta Government Hospital in the Volta Region.

The items donated included ultrasound and Electrocardiogram (ECG) machines, hospital beds, gloves, syringes, needles, intravenous infusions and blood delivery sets.

The Public Affairs and Communications Manager in charge of Equatorial Africa Region of Coca Cola, Mrs Ama Bewuah, handed over the items at a ceremony at the  Princess Marie Louis Hospital in Accra. She said the company was committed to bringing about improvement in the lives of Ghanaians by helping to provide clean and safe drinking water and health and educational facilities.

“For the past five years, the company has undertaken projects in these areas and will continue to improve the well-being of the people, especially those in the rural communities,” she said.

The Medical Superintendent of the Princess Marie Louis Hospital, Dr Eric Sifah, thanked Coca Cola for the support. He said the items would go a long way to boost healthcare delivery in the hospitals.

He said in the past, such support was used not only by the hospital but other health facilities as well, including the Achimota, Ridge and Ledzekoku Krowor Municipal Assembly (LEKMA) hospitals.

The Director in Charge of Institutional Care at the Ghana Health Service, Dr Samuel Kaba, commended the company for helping to improve healthcare delivery in the country.
