Coral’s Artilin paint wins two awards
Artilin Vinymat Ultra paint, an insecticide paint, won two awards at the second Made-in-Ghana Awards held at the Banquet Hall of the State House last Friday.

It won the Most Innovative Product and the Building & Construction Product of the Year at the awards organised by the Entrepreneurs Foundation of Ghana (EFG), in collaboration with the ministries of Trade and Industry and Finance and the Ghana Investments Promotion Centre (GIPC).
Twenty five other companies were honoured for their good quality products for the local market and export.
The awards night was addressed by a Deputy Minister of Trade and Industry, Mr Kweku Rickets Hagan, and a Deputy Minister of Finance, Ms Mona Helen Quartey, who both congratulated the award winners and urged them to maintain the quality of their products for the home and foreign markets.
The Business Development Manager of Coral Paints (M&K Gh Limited), Mr Luiz Carlos da Silva, received the awards from the Ambassador of Morocco to Ghana, Mrs Nersha Alaoui M’Hammdi.
Artilin Vinymat Ultra is part of CIN Coatings Group, the largest private paints and coatings company in Europe, with operations in China and Africa, which has been in operation for over 60 years.
The ultra insecticide paint is manufactured and distributed by Coral Paints Ghana.
Commenting on the awards, Mr da Silva said, “Worldwide, the paint industry is now geared to what is called ‘functional paint’.

“Consumers expect more from paint than simply to add colour to walls. In tandem with this trend, we have joined forces with a big player in the European market to come up with what is the latest technological breakthrough for a specific and special purpose: to provide the best finish for walls with the added functionality of killing insects, while being totally harmless to humans.”
He explained that Artilin Vinymat Ultra was an acrylic paint, available for interiors and exteriors, non-toxic and thoroughly safe for human beings and pets and worked up to four years.
