‘Don’t despise small beginnings’
The First Deputy Governor of the Bank of Ghana, Mr Millison Narh, has urged Ghanaians not to despise small beginnings in their bid to achieve greatness.
Speaking at the 25th anniversary celebrations of NDK Financial Services, the first company in the non-banking financial services industry in Ghana, Mr Narh commended the financial house for continuing to provide reliable and attractive services to its clientele.

“NDK is integrity personified. NDK commands 26.4 per cent of the total financial asset in the non-banking sector with a total asset of over GH¢500 million, making it the leader in the non-banking financial sector,” he noted.
Mr Narh advised the company to strengthen its Information and Communication Technology (ICT) systems and controls and also open more branches.

The CEO of the company, Oko Nikoi Dzani, recounted that the company began its operations prior to the enactment of the Non-Banking Law, PNDC Law 328, passed in 1993.
He stated that the company had played a leading role in spearheading discussions and providing invaluable inputs for many of the laws and regulations that govern the industry.

Mr Dzani also said that NDK now had 90 employees and two branches.
The company, which he said had invested hugely in the Agricultural sector, Pharmaceuticals, Real Estate and Road Construction, among others, would continue to be the preferred financial hub in the non-banking sector.
