Working in the dark

The Country Manager, Mr Kwasi Owusu Gyeabour, explained that the company decided to come to the aid of the police station, after it had observed for sometime that the station was often engulfed in darkness whenever there was power outage.

"We want to help address the challenge of the police working in darkness and help them to enhance security in the community, Mr Gyeabour said, adding that the gesture was also in line with the company's corporate social responsibility.

Mr Gyeabour intimated that the ability of the police to work at night was beneficial to the company and others in the community, since  they work better and improve security in the area.

The Legon Police Commander, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), Mr Emmanuel Basintale, who receivied the lighting system on behalf of the station, thanked the company for its support and appealed to other establishments in the area to come to their aid.
