He said their campaign was a boost to efforts by successive governments to ensure a healthy population in the country.

Lt Col Sam made these remarks at the presentation of 200 litter bins, T-shirts and products of Fan Milk Limited to the second Battalion of Infantry at the Myohaung Barracks at Apremodo, near Takoradi, in the Western Region.

He noted that the donations and distributions of bins in addition to the educational programmes and clean-up exercises with the involvement of educational institutions were a show of commitment to the cause of ensuring proper environmental management practices.

The National Sales Manager of Fan Milk, Kwasi Attuah, said the company was committed to extending its social interventions to every community in the country.

According to him, over the past 22 years, the two organisations had been engaging schools and colleges, as well as communities to educate them on waste management practices and the need to always keep their surroundings clean.

He commended security agencies for their hard work and tireless sacrifices which he said had helped in sustaining the prevailing peace and security for businesses to thrive in the country.
