Firm releases list of Ghana’s top places to work in

An Africa management consulting firm, Goodman AMC, has released its 2015 list of the ‘Top 50 places to work in Ghana’.

On top of the list, comprising both international and Ghanaian workplaces, is the United States government’s foreign aid agency, USAID, followed by the multinational telecommunication provider, Vodafone Ghana.

Google Ghana, Ecole Francais Jacques Prevert and the Ghana Interbank Payment and Settlement System (GhIPSS) follow in that order.

The sixth place is occupied by UT Bank, with Lister Hospital, the Office of the President and General Electric following.

For the building and construction industry, construction firms WBHO and Group Five ranked 10th and 21st, respectively, with adk Consortium, the only consulting firm providing consultancy in the field of engineering, taking the 34th slot.

Survey

Goodman AMC said it conducted a survey to figure out this year's ‘Top 50 best places to work in Ghana’.

The survey sampled employees based on a set of unique metrics calculated to give an overview of key happiness factors at work, including: job security, teamwork, public perception, growth opportunities, work environment, organisation’s reputation, effective leadership, support for diversity, innovation, organisation’s culture, strategic management and relationship with boss and co-workers.

“Each review is then given an average score indicating where the company or organisation places, out of a maximum score of five. The reviews from organisations were tabulated to determine the Goodman AMC Top 50 Best Places to Work in Ghana for 2015,” the release on the firm’s website indicated.
