Four arrested in police swoop on drug peddling and criminal hideouts in Paga
The Upper East Regional Police Command has arrested four suspects following a targeted swoop on criminal hideouts and suspected drug peddling locations at Paga in the Upper East Region.
The operation, carried out on Wednesday, December 18, 2025, focused on identified hotspots along the Paga border as part of intensified efforts to curb crime and narcotics-related activities in the area.
The suspects have been identified as Kofi Boateng, Eric Owusu, and Godwin Agosa, all porters, and Abdul Aziz Bukari, a driver’s mate.
During the operation, police retrieved several exhibits, including eight jackpot gaming machines, thirteen rolls of dried leaves suspected to be Indian hemp, three mobile phones, three pairs of scissors, three lighters, one power bank, one empty phone case, and an amount of GH¢25.
The suspects are currently in police custody, assisting with investigations. The Police say those found culpable will be arraigned before court to face the full rigours of the law.
The Upper East Regional Police Command has reiterated its commitment to maintaining law and order and urged the public to continue supporting the Police by providing timely information on criminal activities.
