Dr Frank Owusu-Sekyere to act as Korle Bu CEO following end of tenure of Dr. Opoku Ware Ampomah

The Director of Medical Affairs at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital (KBTH), Dr Frank Owusu-Sekyere is to act as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the hospital following the end of tenure of the current CEO, Dr. Opoku Ware Ampomah.

The change will take effect from October 6, 2024.

Dr. Opoku Ware Ampomah'a four-year term as CEO of Korle Bu comes to an end on October 5, 2024.

Following that, the Board of Directors of the hospital has appointed Dr Frank Owusu-Sekyere as the interim CEO awaiting communication from the appointing authorities regarding the next steps.

In a letter dated October 3, 2024, signed by Dr David Nkansa-Dwamena as Board Chairman, it was explained that the board's primary concern was to ensure a seamless continuity of the hospital's operations and the well-being of patients.
