The cadets, in an Act of Dedication, affirmed their loyalty to the Head of State, the Government, and the Constitution of Ghana, promising to submit to the discipline and orders of the GAF. They further promised to uphold military traditions and practices in order to enhance the image of the GAF.

Speaking at the ceremony, the Guest of Honour, Rear Admiral Emmanuel Akoto Bonsu (Rtd) noted that religious parades are cultural and traditional ceremonies in the academy to formally admit newly enlisted officer cadets into the academy and commit them into the hands of God for successful training, hence, he welcomed and congratulated the cadets for how far they have come.

He urged the cadets to draw inspiration from the ethics and principles of the academy which would shape their character to make them fine officers of the GAF.

He further stated that the training was aimed at making them committed officers who would value loyalty, service, devotion, and sacrifice. With this, he added that he was of the conviction that the cadets were ready to embark on the journey of professional excellence and service to the country and the world.

Rear Admiral Akoto Bonsu added that due to the strenuous nature of the training, it was his prayer that the divine mercies and grace of God would enable the cadets to remain disciplined, resilient, and focused throughout their training.

He further charged the cadets to make efforts to remain obedient, courageous, and morally upright, adding that, character built on these qualities which both the Bible and Quran urge everyone to emulate constitute one of the core tenants of most accomplished military officers.
