2 Leaders take over Marshallan society

The Knights and Ladies of Marshall, a Catholic-friendly society, have installed two leaders for the 2025-2027 year.

While the chairman of the Public Interest and Accountability Committee (PIAC), has been installed as the 36th Supreme Knight of the Knights of Marshall, Sir Kt Bro Constantine Kojo Mawuena Kudzedzi, heads the Knights of Marshall, Most Respected Lady Sis Irene Smith-Ansah leads the Ladies of Marshall.

In his inaugural speech on Saturday, August 30, 2025, Sir Kt Bro Kudzedzi acknowledged that he was assuming the position of Supreme Knight at a critical point in the history of the Noble Order, which was on the verge of celebrating its centenary.

“We have, as an Order come a long way in influencing Catholic Lay evangelization through Unity, Fraternity, Charity and Service to ourselves, the Holy Mother the Catholic Church and humanity in general,” he noted.

Rededication

He called on members to rededicate themselves and be focused on the core mandate of the society.

“This is our call and in the light of the above, the vision of the 2025-2027 administration is to focus on our individual lives in line with what the Holy Mother Catholic Church expects from us as we prepare to celebrate our centenary and life beyond the centenary,” he stated..

Sir Kt Bro Kudzedzi said as a spiritual Order, the call for rededication required the continuous spiritual development of members through formation in scripture, teachings of the church and spirituality grounded in prayers as spelt out in our subsisting Strategic Plan.

Centenary

He said the centenary celebrations should be a point of convergence between memory and mission, heritage and hope and a launching step of renewed and rejuvenated commitment to each other, the church and society.

“We shall therefore execute this renewed committed and rededication through our current strategic plan and the reviewed strategic plan.

Sir Kt Bro Kudzedzi pledged to use his tenure to marshal the needed material and financial logistics to ensure advancement of the two Supreme Council Centenary Projects, namely the Centenary Building Project and the Centenary Legacy Project.

“In line with our business objectives as spelt out in our Strategic Plan, we shall strengthen our business wing by re-engineering our business wing and the expansion of our Agri-business, rubber plantation project whilst ensuring that we obtain the required income from the current plantations,” he stated.

Grand Lady

In a related development, Most Respected Lady Sis Irene Smith-Ansah took over the mantle of leadership of the Ladies of Marshall as its 27th Grand Lady.

In ainaugrall address, she nnounced the establishment of the “Marshallan Scheme for Orphans” in line with the tenets of unity, charity and service of the Noble Order of the Ladies of Marshall.

To be linked to the ideals of the Marshallan Relief and Development Services (MAREDES), the non-governmental organisation wing of the Noble Order, MRL Sis Smith-Ansah said the scheme would focus on generating resources to bring love to orphans in the communities.

She made a personal donation of GH¢ 50,000.00, as the seed money for the scheme.

“I will as soon as possible engage the MAREDES Board and fully brief them on the details of the project to ensure its immediate take off, targets that this love will be shared with orphans in as many communities as possible,” she stated.
