As early as 7 a.m., hundreds of patrons across the country had gathered at the Black Star Square in Accra to thank God for their lives and express their appreciation to Him for the peaceful conduct of the December 7 general election.
The group, adorned in the national colours, with their vuvuzelas, whistles, white handkerchiefs and miniature Ghana flags, sang and danced to the glory of God for His graciousness towards the nation.
The event was to usher in and commit the country into the hands of God for preservation, peace, prosperity and stability.
The service, also known as“Aforebo Kese”, also saw the women make offerings in large measure, both in kind and in cash.
The women came with large quantities of food items and goods from their respective regions to show their gratitude to God for the natural resources he has blessed the country with.
Having given God His due, Aglow International also gave its members their due by sharing gifts and serving them food, water and drinks.

May God bless him for this exemplary decision”.
Dr Danso also congratulated the Vice-President-elect, Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, on her achievement as the first female Vice-President of Ghana.
” This achievement serves as a source of pride and inspiration for women and girls across the nation. You are a shining example of what can be achieved through dedication, vision and faith, she said.

Reflecting on the year, Dr Danso thanked God for His faithfulness, saying, “God has been our refuge and strength, and His hand has guided us through each passing month”.
She urged the congregation to embrace love, unity and progress in the coming year.
“Let love drive out fear and create a foundation for unity. Refusing to love is missing out on the essence of God’s nature. Let us walk in love, and God’s blessings will abound in our lives,” she said.

Dr Danso thanked all individuals and institutions who supported the fellowship and contributed to the success of this year’s intercessory sessions.
Transition
Leading the congregation in prayer and worship, the National Prayer Director of Aglow International, Gifty Afenyi-Dadzie, prayed for peace as the country transitioned into 2025 under a new administration.
Pouring water into a pot inscribed with the words “Ghana Sika Fotuo” (meaning “Pot of Wealth” in Akan) while praying symbolically for economic prosperity, Mrs Afenyi-Dadzie urged the congregation to pray for God to endow the President-elect with wisdom, resources and resilience to manage the country’s economy effectively.
“We are trusting God to usher Ghana into the new year peacefully. This is a crucial time for unity, love and collective effort to build our nation. Let us continue to pray for our leaders, our communities and our economy,” she added.
