Hollard Life donates to Tetteh Quarshie Hospital
Hollard Life Assurance Ghana Limited has donated some medical items to the Tetteh Quarshie Memorial Hospital, Mampong, as a gesture to society and the communities in which it operates.
The items, namely a radiant warmer, oxygen flowmeters and hand sanitisers, were donated to the pediatric unit of the hospital after an initial visit to assess the needs of that unit.
The company said it embarked on the initiative to complement government’s efforts to deliver quality health care in the country.
Commitment
The Managing Director of the Company, Mr Nashiru Iddrisu, expressed the company’s commitment to “enable more people to create and secure a better future”.
This gesture, he believed, was the beginning of many positive engagements between the two institutions.
He encouraged other private entities and civil society groups to support government’s efforts to provide quality health care across the country.
The hospital administrator, Mr Francis Lugumiah, expressed gratitude to the staff and management of Hollard Life for the kind gesture.
He described the donation as significant and timely “because the hospital needed these items urgently for effective healthcare delivery”.
He said plans were underway to upgrade some facilities of the hospital.
Promise delivered
Dr Lugumiah noted that Hollard Life was among a few institutions that had delivered on their promise to meet some needs of the hospital.
He said this was an indication that the company could be trusted to create a better future for Ghanaians.
Since its entry into the Life Insurance market in Ghana, Hollard Life has brought some innovations into the industry.
Notable among them is the porting feature on the Adepa Family Plan which permits a policy holder to port an existing policy from another company to Hollard Life with benefits activated immediately and a return of premiums every 60 months, whether claims have been made or not.
