Missing SHS student found dead

A 16-year-old student of the Juaben Senior High School in the Ashanti Region who went missing has been found dead.

The second-year Home Economics student from Ejisu-Jamasi is said to have gone missing for about a week.

A resident discovered her half-naked and almost decomposed body in a nearby bush about a kilometre from her family house on Friday morning at about 5am.

Her underwear and a pair of slippers were found lying a few meters away from the body.

According to her family, the deceased, Linda Akansaa, left home at about 5pm on Friday, June 14, 2019, to charge her phone in a nearby house but failed to return home.

An announcement was later made at a local information centre when attempts to find or reach her proved futile.

The deceased’s aunt, Joana Laad said they least suspected that someone would murder their “sweet lively relative” in such a callous manner.

Meanwhile, Police in Ejisu have launched investigations into the matter.
