National Service Authority opens registration portal for nurses, midwives

Eligible nurses and midwives who completed their training in 2025 have up to January 23 to register for their 2026-2027 national service.

Those eligible for registration are nurses and midwives who passed the March and April 2025 Licensing Examinations, also referred to as the minor season, organised by the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Ghana.

A statement from the National Service Authority (NSA) said this followed the submission of the list of qualified professionals by the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Ghana last Friday.

The Director General of the National Service Authority, Ruth Dela Seddoh, who signed the statement, said the prospective applicants had four days to complete the registration, and encouraged all prospective service persons to complete the process within the stated period, emphasising that there would be no extension of the deadline.

She said that as of January 19, the NSA had released the personal identification number codes for 6,867 eligible nurses and midwives, marking the start of the online registration process.

Application

The statement also informed applicants that they would be required to pay a registration fee of GH¢41.00 through Mobile Money on any network before gaining access to the enrolment platform.

Eligible candidates are to visit the National Service Authority website at https://gnsa.gov.gh/home, select the portal, and retrieve their PIN codes using their student identification numbers and date of birth.
