A statement signed by the Director-General, Public Affairs Department of the service, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCOP) Rev. David Ampah-Bennin, stated that the shortlisted applicants had been informed through the established communication channels for such purposes to report for the exercise.

It said the exercise, which included an aptitude test, a medical examination and vetting, was ongoing, and the last batch would  begin the necessary processes from Friday, August 8, 2014.

“For the purpose of emphasis, the Police Service wishes to indicate that this is not a fresh recruitment. Therefore, individuals who are not part of the shortlisted candidates should stay away from the exercise,” it said.

The statement reminded the public to be wary of recruitment fraudsters who would present themselves as middlemen to defraud them, as no agent(s) had been contracted to recruit on behalf of the service.
