Jospong Group Chairman brings New Year joy to thousands
The Executive Chairman of the Jospong Group of Companies (JGC), Mr. Joseph Siaw Agyepong, ushered in the New Year with an act of immense generosity, hosting thousands at his residence in Accra, on January 1, 2025.
The event, which drew participants from diverse backgrounds, saw Mr. Siaw Agyepong donate food items and gifts to the beneficiaries, including senior citizens, women, men, and youth. Among the distributed items were five-kilogram bags of rice, cooking oil, soft drinks, mackerel sardines, and transport fare.
By 6:00 a.m., beneficiaries had already gathered at the residence, many traveling from places as far as Nsawam, Koforidua, and Kasoa to partake in the occasion. The day began with a session of praise and worship led by Pastor Daniel Danso, Chaplain of JGC, during which several attendees accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.
Speaking at the event, Madam Emma Adwoa Appiaa Osei-Duah, Director of Communications and Corporate Affairs for Zoomlion Ghana Limited, highlighted the Chairman’s unwavering commitment to giving back to society.
“This is not the first time Mr. Siaw Agyepong and his family are making such a donation. It started some years back in the neighborhood, and now we have over 4,000 individuals here today from far and wide,” she remarked.
She explained that the annual event is a reflection of Mr. Siaw Agyepong’s people-centered approach to philanthropy, aimed at sharing his joy with the less-privileged at the start of each year.
A devout Christian and elder at the Church of Pentecost, Metso branch, Mr. Siaw Agyepong uses these charitable acts as a platform to share his faith. “He believes that through such benevolence, people will come to know Christ,” Madam Appiaa Osei-Duah added.
The event concluded with expressions of gratitude from attendees, who described the gesture as a life-changing start to the year.
