Other facilities in the school project include a library, computer and science laboratories and a kindergarten.

So far, works on three millennium city school projects at Korle-Gonno, Gbegbeyise and Dansoman are progressing steadily.

At the ceremony, Mr Vanderpuije said the school would, as a priority, enrol children of school age in the area who were currently not in school.

According to him, AMA was determined to eradicate the situation where children stayed at home and engaged in streetism when they ought to be in school.

“AMA is working very hard to bring about improvement in education in the metropolis,” he said.

He assured the residents of Kwashieman that the school building would be completed and inaugurated for use by the appointed date.
