Enter 2025 with an honest attitude — Pastor Ransford Obeng

The General Overseer of Calvary Charismatic Centre (CCC) in Kumasi, Pastor Ransford Obeng, has admonished Ghanaians to approach the new year with honesty in all aspects of their lives.

He explained that fostering honesty in Ghanaian endeavors would naturally drive national progress and development.

Speaking to the media at Tuesday’s December 31 watch night service, Reverend Obeng emphasised the critical role of integrity in nation-building.

“One of the impediments that hinder the prosperity of nations is dishonesty,” he noted.

"As we enter into the new year, all that I am asking from Ghanaians is for them to deal honestly with themselves so that nobody is shortchanged in what they deserve or have worked for," the CCC General Overseer stated.

Corruption

The CCC leader expressed concern over the widespread corruption affecting almost every sector of Ghanaian society.

This, he observed, is evident among pastors, politicians, and individuals in both public and private sectors.

Such behaviors, including bribery, extortion, under-invoicing, petty theft, and inflating government costs for personal gain, Reverend Obeng said, deprive the country of critical resources needed to fund initiatives that would alleviate hardships for the ordinary Ghanaian.

“Most times, people think it is only politicians who are corrupt, but pastors and some persons in authority, especially in public and private spaces, dupe people, steal, and extort from them. The earlier we shun these attitudes, the faster Ghana will become the kind of country we yearn to see," the CCC vision-carrier advised.

New government

Reverend Obeng urged the public to support the incoming NDC government with prayers, hard work, and positive attitudes to ensure its success.

He also encouraged Ghanaians to be diligent and dedicated in their various endeavors, emphasizing that God blesses the work of those who put in effort.
