List of 678 presidential staffers submitted to Parliament

The presidency has forwarded a list of its current staffers to Parliament for purposes of accountability.

This is in line with the constitution and the Presidential Office Act 1993 which enjoins the Presidency to annually brief Parliament on the list of persons who work at the Presidency.

The list shows that there are a total of 678 people currently working in various positions at the Presidency.

These include ministers of state at the presidency, persons working directly at the office of the president, senior presidential advisers, presidential staffers, and presidential aids.

The list which was presented to Parliament Wednesday also includes chief directors, staff from the Ghana Health Service, Controller and Accountant General’s Department, Security personnel (watchmen), caterers, stewards and drivers.

Some names on the list are Dr Nii Moi Thompson,a member of the Convention People’s Party (CPP), and Dr Cadman Mills. They are both serving as Presidential Advisers.
