Local Govt Minister inspects PREFOS Ltd

The Minister of Local Government and Rural Development, Mr Julius Debrah, has inspected PREFOS Limited, a Ghanaian company that assembles street lights for assemblies in the country.

It is located at Adarko-Jachie, near Kumasi in the Ashanti Region.

The company installs street lights and also offers training to electrical engineers of various assemblies in the maintenance of street lights in the country.

Speaking to the media, Mr Debrah commended the management of the company for reducing the efforts of the government from importing street lights for the assemblies.

He said the government was committed to supporting and encouraging local entrepreneurs to expand their businesses to reduce the unemployment situation in the country.     

He assured the company of the government’s support to enhance quality production of street lights and installation of street lights in the country.
