The edifice, which was constructed in collaboration with the Immanuel Congregation at Madina, has a unique iconic design, high technological specifications and excellent flexibility and also offers churches and para-Christian organisations an inspirational venue for meetings, conferences, retreats and other events.

The hall was inaugurated by the immediate past Chairperson for the Ga Presbytery of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, Rev Dr Godwin Nii Noi Odonkor, as part of activities to mark the 25th anniversary of the Madina District.

Capacity of conference hall

The ultra-modern conference hall, which has a 200-seating capacity, also has a 25-seating capacity meeting room, offices, a large car park and a cafeteria. It was funded by the various congregations within the district. The funds were realised through fund-raising activities.

The Presbytery Chairperson commended the Madina District for putting up the hall.

He said the time had come for the Church to go into income-generating ventures to generate more funds to finance their activities instead of depending solely on the tithes and offerings paid by church members.

Emulate Madina

Rev Dr Odonkor urged other districts, congregations and presbyteries to learn from what the Madina District had done.

The District Minister for Madina, Rev Adjei-Pobee, said the construction of the centre had a dual purpose – to provide facilities for guests and to serve as an income-generating venture.

He commended the various congregations for supporting the development agenda of the district over the years.
