The Bole District Police Commander, Assistant Superintendent of Police Mr Eric Awiadem, who confirmed the story to the Daily Graphic, said the suspect was now in police custody pending further investigations.

He said Adesi confronted the deceased over a debt of GH¢2 Agbo owed him, which resulted in a heated argument between them.

Mr Awiadem said Adesi, who was not satisfied, pulled a gun on the deceased, but when the trigger failed him, he used a knife to stab Agbo, killing him instantly.

He said the suspect was arrested by his colleague fishermen after the incident and handed over to the police.

He said the police had retrieved the knife which the suspect used to stab the deceased.

Meanwhile, the Bole Police have appealed to the public to help trace the family or relatives of a lady who died in a vehicle on which she was travelling from Banda Nkwanta to Tinga.

Mr Awiadem said the deceased died suddenly on the vehicle but no form of identification was found on her.
