MTN gifts hampers to 30 Christmas/Boxing days new borns at KATH

The Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital in Kumasi recorded a total of 18 births on Christmas Day, December 25, 2020, and another 12 as at 10am on Saturday, December 26, 2020.

In all, a total of 30 births were recorded between Christmas and Boxing days.

Out of this number of deliveries, six were through Caesarean sections while the rest were through Spontaneous Vaginal Delivery (SVD).

Hampers
This came to light when telcos giant MTN Ghana, as part of its annual ritual, distributed hampers containing baby items such as diapers, baby soaps, toys, and towels to the mothers of these babies.

The Acting General Manager in charge of the Northern Business District of MTN, Ms Adwoa Baah Afrakoma Obeng, said every year, as part of the season’s celebration, the company welcomed the new born babies with the hampers to show love to them.

She said it has become part of the company’s Corporate Social Responsibilities over the years.
