Mzbel praises President Akufo-Addo for free SHS

Ghanaian musician, Belinda Nana Ekua Amoah, popularly known as Mzbel, has praised President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for the implementation of the Free Senior High School (SHS) programme.

Mzbel, who was an ardent critic of the New Patriotic Party and then-presidential candidate Nana Akufo-Addo during the 2016 campaigns, visited the Achimota School in Accra to register her son to enable him benefit from the programme.

Her son gained admission into Achimota School this year.

After successfully registering her son on Monday, September 11, Mzbel wrote on her Facebook page: “Free education here we come!!! It's actually true oo! Hahaaa Nana well done oo!! Onto the next deal... One Corner One Dancer! Inshallah”

The Akufo-Addo-led government’s flagship programme, the Free Senior High School, begins Monday September 11 as first-year students who were successfully placed in various SHSs report officially.

The musician in an earlier Facebook post shared the Basic Education Certificate Examination results of her son when WAEC released the results.

The artiste indicated that she woke up to the good news of her son’s impressive performance and shared the results
