New Rotaract executive inducted into office

A new executive board for the Rotaract Club of Ring Road Central in Accra, under district 9102 has formally been inducted into office.
The 10-member executive board, whose tenure will end in June 2016, was tasked with the responsibility of ensuring that it left a lasting impact on society.

Mr Ahmed Ibrahim was elected President of the club with Ms Paulina Buabeng as Vice-President, while Ms Grace Sagoe emerged the new Secretary. Other elected members were Nana Kofi Nyarko as Acting Treasurer, Helen Habib as the Public Relations Director, Ms Esther Okpodjah as Seargent-at-Arms, Dean Senchim as Club Administrator and Ms Christina Wilmot as Extention and Retention Chairperson.

The immediate past President, Kwame Gyamfi Boateng, decorated the new president and inducted the executive members into office.

Commendation

In a speech to climax his handover to the new executive, Mr Boateng encouraged members of the board to think deeply about the office they were holding and endeavour to impart strength and vitality into activities of the club.

He said the club achieved so much in the past Rotaract year and thanked the former executive and all who contributed to the accomplishments.

Projects

Mr Ibrahim, the President-elect, while outlining projects the new board proposes to undertake, said the new board would work hard to justify the trust reposed in it.

He said the club would embark on the fourth phase of its renovation works on the Korle Bu Fevers Unit, which it had for the past two years been restoring.

He said the board would also work to improve relationships between the Rotaract and Rotary clubs as a means of deepening commitment among their members.

The new Rotaract President said the Rotaract Club, Ring Road Central, would embark on a sanitation project to ensure cleanliness in its immediate communities.

Rotaract is an international organisation of service clubs for men and women aged 18 to 30. It fosters leadership and responsible citizenship and encourages high ethical standards in business. It also promotes international understanding and peace.
