The donation was made to complement the effort of the government and the management of the hospital towards the promotion of effective and efficient healthcare delivery services at the hospital.

The Parish Priest, Fr Peter Osei Amoateng, presented the chairs on behalf of the church.

He said the donation was also in commemoration of the church’s 60th anniversary.

He said a similar donation had been made to the North Suntreso Government Hospital.

He added that the church would continue to provide humanitarian services for the people and partner with the government to provide logistics for health institutions in the country.

Fr Amoateng said the church also had a number of activities lined up for the celebration of its anniversary.

The activities include a health screening exercise for the South Suntreso community, indoor and outdoor games and a special church service to climax events.

The Chief Executive Officer of the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH), Dr Joseph Akpaloo, expressed his appreciation to the church for the chairs and for its humanitarian service to the society.

He said government alone could not handle the responsibility for efficient healthcare delivery in the country and added that the hospital would continue to count on churches, organisations, individuals and its partners in health care for assistance.
