Noble Order installs 21st Grand Lady

Most Respected Lady Sister Margaret YirenkyiMost Respected Lady Sister Margaret Yirenkyi has been installed as the 21st Grand Lady of The Noble Order Of Ladies Of Marshall, a Catholic-friendly society.

Her oversight responsibilities span Ghana, Togo, Benin, Liberia and London.

In her maiden speech, she thanked God for how far He had brought her.

She accepted the honour done her with joy and humility and reminded all noble ladies to live up to the tenets of the Noble Order enshrined in their motto: Unity, Charity, Service and Fraternity.

Most Respected Lady Yirenkyi, who will run a two-year term, urged all officers to be industrious in their tasks so that together, the flame of the Noble Order would be kept burning unceasingly.

In a vision statement, she said she would draw up a 10-year development plan which would be divided into two-year short-term plans.

First on her agenda, she said, was to purchase a bus to facilitate the work of the Grand Court, follow the development agenda drawn up for the Marshallan Centre Project and draw up programmes to intensify the spiritual growth and development of members.

Most Respected Lady Yirenkyi said she would also intensify membership drive for the expansion of the Noble Order, attract more youth into the Junior Order, and institute the BEST Court Award.

She implored all officers to effectively collaborate with her to work as a team to achieve her vision and move the Noble Order forward.

Among the officers elected to assist her were Respected Lady (RL) Sister Alice Ayebi, Deputy Grand Lady; RL Christina Buadu, Grand Secretary; RL Augustina Brigit Antwi, Grand Secretary of Finance; RL Irene Smith, Grand Treasurer; RL Felicity Acquah, Grand Auditor; RL Grace Budu-Smith, Grand Propagandist, and RL Alice Marie Agyeman, Grand Communications Officer.
