OLAM rewards workers for their sacrifice
Ghanaian workers have been urged to work hard in order to promote productivity in the country and ensure growth of businesses as well.

The Head of Ghana Cocoa Business of OLAM Ghana Ltd, Mr Eric Asare Botwe, who made the call, said it was when productivity improved that employers would increase the remuneration of their staff.
He assured the staff of OLAM of management’s readiness to create an enabling environment to enhance their operations and promote the cocoa industry in the country and the world at large.
Mr Botwe was speaking at an awards ceremony in Kumasi at which 143 Royal Purchasing Clerks of OLAM were honoured for their dedication to work.
The Overall Best award went to Mr Isaac Essuman from Tarkwa, while Mr Joseph Antwi of Nkawkaw placed second. They took home certificates, large-sized deep freezers and 20 machetes.
The third, fourth and fifth positions went to Abraham K. Kirafo, Apeku Aggrey and Emmanuel Laryea respectively. Each of them received medium-sized deep freezers and 20 machetes.
In addition, 138 purchasing clerks also received prizes like TV sets, wrist watches, mobile phones, fridges and machetes.
Mr Essuman, on behalf of the award winners, commended the management of OLAM for the honour done them. He pledged to work hard in the years ahead in order that productivity in the company would be improved.
