Oye Lithur, Women’s Caucus discuss women’s devt

The Minister for Gender, Children and Social Protection (MOGCSP), Nana Oye Lithur (right) and two members of the Women’s Caucus in Parliament, Madam Irene Naa Torshie Addo (left) and Ms Queenstar Pokua Sawyer, who is also the Deputy Central Regional Minster, have every cause for this smiles.

This was after the caucus had met with the Gender Minister to discuss the outcome of the ministry’s activities for 2014.

The leaders deliberated on the numerous challenges impeding the development of women in Ghana and made suggestions to deal with those impediments.

Nana Lithur told the Members of Parliament (MPs) that Cabinet had approved a Memorandum on Social Protection which is to ensure the effective and efficient coordination of social protection programmes in the country.
